My name is Mihee Jeon, and I am a clinician with both international and domestic clinical experience. I earned my master’s degree in 2002 and my doctorate in 2009. Since then, I have worked as a counselor and counselor educator in the field of counseling. My clinical background includes a broad range of play therapy approaches, from non-directive to directive methods; such as Child-Centered Play Therapy, Gestalt Play Therapy, Theraplay, and Filial Therapy. Theraplay and Filial Therapy, in particular, are evidence-based practices shown to be effective in not only improving a child’s emotional and behavioral symptoms but also in strengthening the parent-child relationship. If you are interested in learning how to connect and interact more effectively with your child, I would be glad to explore these approaches with you. In addition, I incorporate Sandtray Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into my work. Facing personal challenges such as grief or trauma can be difficult, but through expressive and supportive therapeutic methods, you can build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward healing. It would be my honor to walk alongside you on your journey and to witness your growth and restoration. Therapy touches the heart in meaningful ways. I’d love for you to experience that with me.
