Monica Stewart

 LCSW

My name is Monica. I graduated with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2012. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. I have provided intensive in-home therapy to families in crisis, offered therapeutic case management to adults diagnosed with co-morbid conditions, and served as an outpatient therapist in a pediatrics clinic. I specialize in treating adjustment-related issues, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma. I utilize several treatment methods including Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy (directive and non-directive), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

I strive to build meaningful, genuine relationships with clients and believe this is the foundation of all therapeutic growth. I operate from a strengths-based perspective and work to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space for clients. I am truly honored by the opportunity to join others and walk with them on their path to personal wellness.
