 LCSW

“Be gentle with yourself, you are a work in progress.” The guidance of my first LCSW mentor is at the heart of my approach to therapy and life, daily cultivating inner peace of mind, body, and spirit. Navigating changes and challenges, transitions and trials requires empathic support at times, and I am grateful to join the journey as an LCSW.  Approaching the work in progress of learning and growing in relationship to self and others takes connection, courage, and compassion and I am dedicated to the process of developing awareness skills to become more attuned and aligned in order to address experiences that emerge. There are so many effective ways to find direction on the path forward, I hope to provide help informed by mindfulness-based stress reduction, self-regulation skill development, parent-child interaction therapy, experiential play, emotion-focused therapy, and other modalities that promote wellness, healing, and health.

Learning from the powerful words of Viktor Frankl, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” I am dedicated to developing skills that promote responding rather than reacting to issues. Creating a therapeutic alliance in a secure space honoring time, energy, and goals is a collaborative process with each individual or family I get to know. My experience over 10 years of providing care with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health, grief support services, outpatient and inpatient care, and developmental-behavioral health has taught me that believing is seeing and that shift happens. I look forward to joining you on the journey empowered by making the gentle changes encouraging clarity, freedom, and transformation.
